Part of any good design is the ability to alter it on the fly. For me this resulted in “The World’s Smallest Bookshelf”. I had initially planned for a conventionally proportioned bookshelf above the backrest. This however resulted in a bookshelf that was at the very top of my head. It was just irritating enough to warrant intervention.
So I took the handsaw to it and fixed the problem. The result left pretty short bookshelves, but hey, how many books can you read at once anyhow?
