Not wanting to waste a questionable purchase, we have re-used this grass as a landing for the Outback Shack Micro Shelter.
I never thought I would see the day that I would be a proponent of fake grass, much less spend money on some. Still, I guess there are some things in life that can never be completely written off. My one excuse is that we intially purchased it as decoration for a childrens party. The theme for the party was 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and the artificial grass did set it off rather nicely. Not wanting to waste a questionable purchase, we have re-used this grass as a landing for the Outback Shack Micro Shelter. Not only does it provide extra comfort under foot, but if an over eager Micro Shelter occupant falls head first out the door it allows for a somewhat cushioned landing. The jury is still out, but so far so good. What do you think? Have you taken the step into the fake grass arena?

There are some VERY nice synthetic turf offerings out there. I got a patch of leftover plush turf recently and placed it in my backyard...within days, my kids were lying on it and staring up at the clouds since it was so soft and comfortable. Surrounded by "real" grass and they chose to congregate at the fake spot like clockwork. Sold my lawnmower soon after...
