Australian Demolition Derby is no longer in its infancy and has progressed to become a respected and much loved motor sport. The simplicity of the sport attracts thousands of spectators each year, largely at rural shows. The driver of the last car running wins.

The competitors spend hours methodically crafting their vehicles mechanically, structurally and artistically. Tactics are planned, helmets are donned and when the flag is dropped adrenaline takes over.

This is not a sport for people who hesitate under pressure or retreat after the first big hit. Australian Demolition Derby is revered for its speed, crowd pleasing big hits, colourful characters and a supportive administration who have not regulated the heart out of the sport.
