Aquaponics need not be as complicated as many people make it. This simple setup uses a variation on the centuries old floating raft system. This keeps water evaporation loss to a minimum.


Fish provide nutrients for the plants and the plants filter the water for the fish. Aeration is provided using manual techniques that also help to stimulate the senses and satisfy inquisitive young minds.
